e(nj)oy promises a fun-filled, vibrant kick-start to the NJC experience. Here, students are encouraged to let go of their inhibitions, throw their preconceived boundaries to the wind and be wholly involved in the orientation activities. e(nj)oy creates a relaxed, carefree environment, for them to be truly unfettered by their reserves. Beyond that, Viva la Vida, meaning Live the Life, coincides with the idea of enjoying and living out their lives in school to the fullest. This entails the students redefining and creating their own vision, thus providing a transformative experience for them. Above all, e(nj)oy aims to forment a dynamic, spontaneous mentality in the incoming students.
e(nj)oy crystallises the essence of the school's mission in creating a home for scholars and leaders. In creating a vibrant environment we hope to foster a family-like surrounding as well, thus letting students experience the commonality of the NJ spirit.

Prelude
Since the beginning of time, people have occupied the entire globe, populating regions of varying climates. While some found comfort in soaring the skies, others found joy in sailing the open seas. It was only natural then that their very way of life and their cultures, varied to suit their respective regions, be it the seas, the skies or the savannah. With time, many gathered together to indulge in their common passion for theatre and Theatre City was thus born!
On the prestigious Theatre Street in Theatre City, there reigned 6 troupes – Aphrodite, Ataneer, Isador, Lycaon, Syracuse & Titan. The 6 troupes coexisted as they silently acknowledged their mutual interdependence on each other. This symbiosis, however, did not carry on for long.
It was 40 years later, that the Mayor decided to reinvent & rejuvenate Theatre Street and what better way than by having a 40th Anniversary celebrations right on Theatre Street – the grandest celebrations Theatre City would ever see, the Mayor proclaimed.
The day dawned bright and sunny, when the Mayor of Theatre City announced of his grand plans to introduce greater zest into the theatre scene by staging a brand new Le Grande Musical as the highlight of the 40th anniversary celebrations. The catch, however, was that out of the 6 major troupes, only one could be the main player in the Le Grande Musical. He called for all 6 troupes to nevertheless perform to their best and obtain the highest ratings at the end of the week long festivities.
Act 1 Scene 1
Of the entire announcement by the Mayor, all the leaders of the 6 troupes caught was that there was to be only a single main player. With that, their minds started working overtime, each thinking of how to get ahead of the other 5 troupes. AHA! They all exclaimed around the same time, we shall meet up in secret with the Mayor to make a great ‘first’ impression, and to show him that we are the best! Little did each of the 6 troupes know that they had all come knocking at the Mayor’s door around the same time.
Act 1 Scene 2
Add more zeal and zest to the theatre scene, the competition for the lead role sure did. The 6 theatres had become so ferociously competitive, each aiming to garner the greatest revenue, recognition and loyal supporters. Within a short period, the theatres has become so embroiled in the politics of the Award, that their show ratings had sunk to an all time low, and different components of each theatre were breaking away.
Act 1 Scene 3
To improve show ratings while garnering staunch supporters, the Mayor set a series of tasks and events for the 6 theatres, hoping they would realize the true value of the award – the building of inter-theatre spirit to improve show ratings generally and the building of intra-theatre spirit to create a stronger stylish and unique trait for each theatre.
Act 2 Scene 1
Through station games, the various parts of each theatre learn about the importance of the different parts that make up the theatre. While playing together, they realize the importance of teamwork and spirit! The theatres rebuild and regenerate themselves from within the addition of new personnel.
Act 2 Scene 2
Armed with their newly moulded theatres, the directors embark on tours all over the area. The theatres publicise and advertise themselves to garner a greater number of staunch supporters and to increase their popularity. Through this, they continue to build intra-theatre spirit to build up their image.
